Family mealtimes are so important, but what do you do when the kids are starving and you still need ten minutes to make dinner?🤦🏼‍♀️

❤️Parent proactively by making a few of my nibble trays that keep for days in your fridge. Choose a stackable container and foods that store easily for nibbling, such as:

👉🏼O-shaped cereals like @cheerios
👉🏼Berries (pre-chop for toddlers)
👉🏼Frozen peas and carrots (defrost easily in fridge – best for kids who chew well)
👉🏼A few small crackers, and a bit of nut butter in one section

✨TIPS✨
1.	Not every section has to have a food in it!
2.	Grab what is ready for dinner, and add it to an empty section, you never know…they just might try it! A bit of “hungry” sometimes helps.
3.	Don’t fill up sections to the top, and choose a container with sections that are deep and narrow. This slows down the nibble-time, because kids have to use their pincer grasp to get one piece at a time.
4.	Absolutely no seconds on nibble trays. Make that a hard -and-fast rule in your house, so there’s still room in their little bellies for family mealtime.

🥰Love this tip? It’s from my one of my books, Raising a Healthy Happy Eater!

✨In the cauliflower chapter, you’ll find this easy and fun recipe for my Cauliflower Caramel Corn! Get the kids in the kitchen with you too!

✨Cauliflower (about 2 heads or one large bag of florets) broken into bite size pieces
✨¼ cup (60 ml) melted coconut oil
✨2 TB pure maple syrup
✨1 tsp ground cinnamon
✨Sea salt to taste after roasting
👉🏼Preheat oven to 400F (200C)
👉🏼Line baking sheet with parchment or foil for easy clean up (optional)
👉🏼Combine oil, syrup, cinnamon and then pour over florets in large bowl, mixing with a large spoon to coat evenly.
👉🏼Spread on baking sheet, leaving space between florets for best caramelization. Roast 20 to 30 minutes until toasty brown on edges.
👉🏼Remove, cool slightly, sprinkle with salt to taste and load up those popcorn boxes!
